Hammering Zell and Bloggers speak, CNN listens

Wed Sep 01, 2004 at 08:24:04 PM PDT

Not sure if any of y'all caught it, but CNN finally came through tonight.  Wolf Blitzer, Judy Woodruff, and one other political mainstay interviewed Zell Miller right after Cheney's speech.  And surprise surprise, instead of the shallow questions you might expect, they spent the entire 2 minute segment challenging Zell's claims.  They made him look even more foolish than he looked when he was frothing at the mouth in front of the podium.  At one point, Wolf Blitzer said, (paraphrased) 'I was there.  I know how Cheney voted and he voted against the same weapons systems that Kerry did.'  Zell had no response.  In another clip, the other announcer whose name I can't remember challenged Zell's accusation that Kerry called our troops 'occupiers' instead of 'liberators' when, in fact, Bush used the phrase 'occupiers' several times.  Miller dismissed this as simply not true.  He basically told the anchor guy that he didn't believe him.  It was really quite a spectacle.

And then, to top it off, after Tad Devine, a Sr. Kerry strategist, gave the Dem perspective to the RNC night, Blitzer reminded the audience that they had done the same for Ralph Reed during the DNC.  Is it possible that the people have spoken and CNN has listened?  (And Aaron Brown just mentioned bloggers on his show too!)

I'm really excited by the debacle this last night has been for the republicans.  Ah yeah!!!!
